Midwifery and Homebirth Services for Southern New Mexico

I started the journey of becoming a midwife as a teenager, when I took an
Intro to Midwifery course taught by a local midwife where I grew up in Northern California. I fell in love with the idea of working to make a better world by providing better care and support to people and families as they welcome new babies into the world.
I spent several years studying and working to support a variety of people in different capacities, including as a food bank program coordinator, a midwifery student/apprentice, a doula, and as a care provider for individuals with varying disabilities. In 2015, I was finally able to dedicate myself fully to becoming a licensed midwife. While living in Las Cruces, New Mexico, I attended and completed the MEAC-accredited program at Maternidad La Luz in El Paso, TX, where I had the wonderful opportunity to care for hundreds of people and families from the border region and beyond. The following year, I started working with the lovely homebirth midwives serving Las Cruces, and in 2017 I was honored to become a Certified Professional Midwife and New Mexico Licensed Midwife.
In addition to providing care during the childbearing period, I also greatly enjoy providing well care for folks beyond pregnancy and birth, working to support individuals in learning about their own health and bodies and making the best choices for their circumstances.
I am thrilled to be serving Las Cruces and surrounding communities, including Alamogordo, Deming, and Truth or Consequences. I gladly accept New Mexico Medicaid, can bill your insurance, and offer discounts for people who are paying out of pocket.
